TRANSPORTATION

Every customer has their own needs in regards to shipping data/media for destruction. We are flexible and can accommodate any method that works for you. We understand that secure transportation is just as important as the data and media destruction itself.

For customers outside the mid-Atlantic region, Data Killers will ship you appropriately sized, military-type, hard cases with combination locks and serialized closure tags. Customers simply fill the cases with the media to be destroyed, then seal the cases with the locks and the serialized tag and ship the cases back to Data Killers. Customers notify Data Killers of the mode of shipment and provide the tracking number and content list. A screened and approved manager from Data Killers will sign for the cases from the shipping company to provide an auditable chain of custody and verify the contents.

For mid-Atlantic customers, we can come to your office and pick up the media to be destroyed. We will seal all boxes of media with tamper-proof tape and label each with a unique customer number. Our staff can remove the hard drives from your computers and pack boxes. We can inventory and document all material to be destroyed to establish an unbroken, legally-sufficient chain of custody with all the required signatures and documentation. We will transport all items in secure trucks with GPS tracking devices to our secure facility.

Our shredding and degaussing processes can be overseen by customer, recorded to DVD, monitored remotely via dedicated IP address or overseen and verified by personnel with a secret-level security clearance. Data Killers will provide a signed and dated Certificate of Destruction. Serial numbers can be captured and recorded as required by customer.
